I absolutely hate the media. Who the hell cares what gender the members are that Obama picks for his administration? As long as they do their job it doesnt matter at all. I cant stand that the media always has to put a spin on everything. Just how when Obama joked about getting a dog the news went into this huge coverage of what kind of dog he was going to get. WHO CARES!? Knowing what kind of dog Obama and his family have while they are in the white house have no effect on my life whatsoever. I just wish the news would just cover stories that matter, not this bs. Just one persons opinion though.

This is the first election I have really paid close attention to, but it seems like everyone is treating Obama more like a celebrity than a politician and most important our president-elect. I dont think anyone cared so much about the personal lives of any other president as they have Obama. You are right though, I could care less what kind of dog Obama is getting or what the decoration in the girls' rooms will look like. It is irrelevant to his task at hand. But i guess people get wrapped up in high profile figures lives and try to act like they know them personally. But no, Obama is not a celebrity and really should not be treated as such. I see headlines on the front of almost every magazine that reads something about how Obama thinks hes a cool dad or how hip obama is or what rap artist he likes the most. Its bizarre, but I guess he must be telling reporters about these facts. I do think it is really cool what he is doing, presenting his weekly addresses over UTube along with the radio, as normal. Its time there is some modernization.
I agree that all of this talk about Obama and his personal life is a waste a time. its alittle sad that our media spends so much time on the most ridiculous coverage ever. I think its great to know as much as we can about Obama, although I do agree that it is completely irrelevant what kind of dog the Obama family will get. i agree when you say...WHO CARES?!
